The Robert Louis Stevenson Trail - Alan Castle~The route, which is well served by accommodation of all types, is divided into twelve day-stages, so that the Trail easily fits into a fortnight’s holiday.~In Autumn 1878 Robert Louis Stevenson loaded up his donkey, Modestine, and started his 140 mile walk through the Velay and Cévennes regions of France, later immortalised in his book Travels with a Donkey in the Cévennes.
